Perhaps I will go back to MD and test the car on the 248. FYI guys, here's an article where they tested Dynos on a stock 350z:

but you cant just say you have 225 hp and 205 torque without a real dyno of that, its like me saying i should be at my red crayola line and call that my new numbers.. im not trying to be mean or anything.. but anyways great numbers none the less.

You making a crayola line and the guy who dyno's cars for living are two very different things. He is making a basis on something that has shown to be otherwise, WHILE, we cannot say for sure that aaron is putting down 225/205 we CAN however estimate this. Just like we can make a fair assumption that my car doesn't only have 184hp/173tq but probably closer to 204+/193+ based on what we already know these motors to put down. i have $5 ready to donate to aaron to run on the same dyno as you and DV8.

The problem is I dynoed on 3 different dynos that produce 3 different results. That's the long and short of it.
dynojet 248 != dynojet 248x != dynapak I'm doing my best to get what the dynojet 248 numbers are from what I have. I think the two experts and the magazine article makes a pretty strong case. It was really my bad for not finding out the 248x would produce different numbers in the first place. Anyway, having now spent over $200 on dynos I think I will have to lay off for a while.

Nice numbers! I don't think it really matters, either way; you've got plenty of power. Let's hook up this weekend, install some dampeners, drive to S.F. for the meet, hit The California Speedway, or whatever... I'd be cool to get videos of our cars running tandem so people can see how much faster your mods. are.

Thanks.
Bottom line, you need to stick to one dyno if your tring to compare previous and new. The flywheel swap surprised me too, I thought by dropping 38lbs to 19 I would see a huge power gain. I saw some but not much. Pullies. Very seldomly have I seen gains over 5 peak from these. I dont trust kyles dyno process. His before and after dynos were flawed and had way to many variables. Will they gain, yes-10whp, I dont think so. Theres no stand out mod on your car that would yield the numbers your claiming-regardless what the tuners say. We know Legends not them. Higher compression could be one variable but I hardly doubt you have enough to bump it. If anyone can document more Legend dyno experience than me, by all means. Now you have two dynos, a dynopak and dynojet. One is higher and thats a *Fact*(dynapack) The other is a dynojet which gives real world legend numbers. You may not like the numbers, but I can honestly say from my experience its close to accurate with your mods. Send me money and I'll get a dynapack dyno. The best example is Kenso, review history. Keep in mind its not about peak but rather differences in the powerband: http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulleti...g_searchinfo=1 These *tuners* are giving you false hope and your taking it because you want those higher numbers. If the numbers arent to your liking, dont post them, because we will point out flaws. If these number were with cams, then I would say somethings wrong. Look at your powerband, I see over 8whp & TQ throughout compared to the last dyno. Believe it or not, thats huge. This is no V8 as it pertains to massive gains from a mod or two. Our mods yeild little to nothing. Im not tring to come off harsh, I just think your tring to find a shade of gray in black or white. Let it go, choose one shop and get cams. ~Dv8 Quote:

I'm going to withdraw any objection related to gains. I must have had a total brain fart - this is the JDM engine, so there's no relation to the old engine and dyno results.
However, I do stand by my belief that two separate dyno professionals giving their opinions based on their experience (+ the magazine article), put me in the ballpark I mentioned. I will still go at some point and test the car on the dynojet 248. Also, I am waiting to hear back from dynojet regarding the differences between the two models.
