Shorter runner in the manifold, longer primaries on headers(i think, i will have to double check that) The tq will get you off the line, but after that you are going to have to spray it or really open up the breathing to get more out of it.

Oh, and shouldnt you dyno that in 3rd????

I thought 4th gear was a 1:1 ratio.

Yeah, you are a 5 speed, i think 4th is a bit longer on the 5s than on the 6s. 1-3 are about the same. All the autos 3rd is closest, 6 speed you can do 3 or 4, i had always heard 3rd for the 5 speeds, and thats what phils was. I am sure yours is fine. No biggie.

I have a question, although it might be stupid. Will the OBX headers work on 3.5 RL heads???? Or is there headers that will fit the swap in a legend?

The headers will fit, but i'm sure the Y pipe is going to be a pain in the ass, just like the stock one was. The 3.5L exhaust manifolds are at least 1/2" farther apart thanthe 3.2L. I still have a scab on my arm from installing the y-pipe on the RL engine.

Hell, I already had to custom fit that OBX Y-pipe to fit. As long as the headers bolt to the heads, and HOPEFULLY clear the steering shaft and such, the Y-pipe is the least of my worries. Hopefully my motor will last a good long time now though.......knocking on wood! hahaha

4th on a 6-speed is closer to 1:1 than 3rd... just slightly closer. Choosing 3rd or 4th will probably not even show any difference on a dyno.

Ratios are as follows:

3rd 1.151 (0.151 difference from 1:1)
4th 0.868 (0.132 difference from 1:1)

Excellent information, guys.
The 3.5 gains are obvious.
Now, who wants to hybridize my engine?

C, can you post the same comparison, but using the dyno after your cams?
