I have a couple quick questions.

Can we buy the chip from Willy without install?

The AEM EMS map... are the files *.bin files?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a 28 pin chip. I really dont have to buy one from Willy...
Nevermind on that.

I guess the only question I have is if the AEM unit uses a *.bin

That's a good question. I've heard too many stories about him, that's why I've been waiting on getting my Type II chipped.

EDITED: I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.
No details until I can get more than 50% there.

All I need is the *.bin file.
Whether is the Bayou/Dinan one, or the AEM EMS one.

If anyone can get in contact with Willie, could you please ask him if he is willing to sell the rights or whatever is needed so that we can make our own copies of the chip? If so, maybe a few memebers on this board would be willing to make an investment so we can purchase these chips ourselves.

I still need to do some research to see if I can even make copies of the Bayou or not. But even if we can't, I may be able to develop my own tune/chip.

Im just looking for some input and help from anyone that has something to offer.

I would be the first to invest. What does willie do exactly? Was he in the storm? Is he even still in buisiness???? Someone needs to buy him out on this thing. He can't be selling any if nobody can find him. We need a reliable source because most who don't have the stage II just don't want to buy from willie....ya know?

Totally agreed. I just spoke with my guy.... I think the price would be around $80 -$120.
