Front Engine mount question

Hello all,

Recently purchased 2 part polyurethane 60a hardness.
The plan is to redo the mid and transmission mount for my 92 automatic.

The question is the front mounts, upon removal, driver side front was torn.
What to do?

at the moment i have filled the broken mount and inverted it while it cures. Im sure the mount can handle downward pressure, but am unsure if it will separate if the engine pulls upwards. I cleaned the inside of the mount very well hoping for good adhesion, but im just not sure polyurethane works that way

What is everyone else doing for their front mounts? Did a search but did not find any final ideas.

i used polyurethane on my front mounts and the centers were torn, its holding up perfectly with no problems.

91-92 used 2 hydraulic front mounts

93-95s used 3 front mounts the sides are rubber.
and the hydralic mounts were moved to the mid mounts.

Am i the only one who has filled a hyrdaulic mount with poly?
well once i do the centers and rear I will post whether it holds or not. I am a bit skeptical.

I think the combination of ksports and NYC driving finished off the mounts.

well, filling the front engine mounts didnt really do much. The mount controls downward pressure well, but doesnt hold the engine down well, allowing the engine to lift. I get increased vibration when the engine position lifts a bit. I am thinking of fabricating a new engine mount the prevents engine lift. Anybody have any tips for doing this?

telion, i will try pouring poly on the outside of the mount. Did you do anything special for good adhesion? Sounds like a good idea.

Not really, just cleaned them really well and made sure they were dry and free of any hydraulic fluid. I saw somewhere that it is a good idea to rough the surface a bit though so the poly has a rough surface to adhere to; which is similar to nearly any other type of bondig procedure.
