H&R/ Koni Question.

Right now I have the GrondControl/Koni set up and I am about to swap the GC's out for H&R's.

My question is, should I install them on the high perch or the low perch? How much of a gap would I have with Koni ( high perch ) with H&R's and how much with Koni ( low perch ) and H&R's

I am doing this because I think the ride BLOWS with the GC'sand I am hoping these springs will cure this issue ( I get the springs for free ). I would like to have a nice ride, so if it ride better on the high perch then let me know.

Thanks!!

Cool, thanks.

On a side note, I do not find them too stiff, I love stiff cars. I find these BOUNCY and I feel like some kid in a civic that chopped his springs because I bounce so much.

Still thinking weather I should install on the high or low perch.

Hmmm. If I'm not mistaken; Upper for the fronts and rear middle with H&R. But, dont quote me. I believe a member named Scotch has this setup.

But, I have some questions for you.

Have you tried giving your konis a 1/4 or 1/2 turn? I have a G2 coupe with the GC Koni setup and I wouldnt trade it for the world, but that just me. I have my koni set to the oem setup(full soft) and I don't bounce at all. I have to admit that the ride is "Cadillacy" but that's what I like. Very smooth! I barely take my car past 75mph, so made that's where we differ.

I drove my friends G2 Coupe with the GC/Koni setup and his konis were set to 1/2 turn and what a difference from my car. It felt a little stiff and damn near race ready. So maybe a 1/4 turn may do you justice.

I told you in the other thread to increase the dampening to reduce the bounce. The Koni's can handle the GC spring rate just fine, you just need to increase the dampening.
