Head swap... stupid?

Would it be pretty stupid to swap Type 2 heads onto a type 1 motor with 150.5k miles? Someone I know says it would be best to just swap the whole motor... Any suggestions?

if youfreshen up ur motor a bit while u have it all apart puttin on the new head it could be like a new car.....i wanna do something like this to mine in the future when i have a major engine problem.

Heads, not headers. type one and type two blocks are the same, I was wondering if changing the heads and intake manifold would be stupid on a high mileage motor...
