Relink time for an Autronic after ignition off-on cycle is 1-3 seconds. Some cheap aftermarket ecu's have relink times of up to two minutes. The price advantage of the cheap units is often lost in extra tuner time.I like gear that works, thats all. Chris |

I have the NSX service manual, let me have a look in there and compare diagrams for the differences. Maybe Kenso can whip out some of his dealership print screens. ~Dv8

So the problem with the fuel pump running constantly is really a big issue it seems.
For me, my car is a daily driver so I would not want to run the risk of damageing or even blowing up my self and or my car! Buzzard, thanks for taking the initiative to look into this problem. When it comes to electrical diagrams I dont know my ass from my elbow. I hope that there will be some sort of solution because I would really like to get this EMS installed in the near future.

The fuel system has a return line all fuel over pressure returns back to the gas tank. All the pump is doing is remaining on and cycling more than it should, which in the grand scheme isnt that bad when you exercise common sence and start the motor right away. If you need to keep the 2nd click on then pull the fuel pump fuse out under the dash. I agree that a solution should be figured out and Im' sure its fairly easy, I just didnt pay much attention to it because it wasnt a big problem for me. This problem is nothing that should stop someone from buying and installing the ultimate in tuning a Legend motor in a KA7/KA8. If your still not convinced, thats great. Imran, I, Mike Diaz, Hotstartup and whomever else will keep advancing and others will be left behind. I have no problem with that ![]() ~Dv8

Legend
![]() ![]() NSX ![]() ![]() The obvious difference is that the NSX pump runs at two speeds. Both share pin A7 as the ecu controlled ground for the relay. If I remember correctly, A8 is the reverse lockout control ground on the Legend, so whatever the AEM does on A8 shouldn't be keeping the fuel pump running on the Legend application. |

Christian, if you are taking the car to the track, it is a serious safety issue. For safety's (and simplicity's) sake, simply run an inertia switch in the B+ or ground wire going to the fuel pump. They are used on almost every Ford, Lincoln or Mercury product ever made and located in the trunk. A salvage yard shouldn't charge more than a few dollars for it. It looks and functions somewhat like a circuit breaker (with a yellow reset button). If the car should be jarred significantly, or in an accident the inertia switch will cut all power to the pump. Just make sure it is oriented and installed properly to the frame of the car.

A8
Legend: Cooling fan control unit Type I(DRAD)/ Reverse lockout on 6spd models(MTSL) NSX: FLR2 (Fuel Pump Relay 2) Looks like its getting two power sources. I figure all I need to do is disconnect A8 and it should work like normal. I'll try. ~Dv8

well being the only ems I ever bought was for a nsx and a 3000gt it was plug n play using the harness. As for my question, sorry I just didnt read alot. And granted I will be buying used it wont have LEGEND wiring diagrams if any. So I dont know which wires to change pins etc. Sorry that I never played with a legend ecu before.

If anyone comes across one of these units at a reasonable price please get at me.
