Considered raising the floorpans, and/or pushing the lower firewalls back a little? It what's going to have to be done on the G1. Just a couple inches to give more clearance for heat shields and lower guard plates.

Specs: Garrett model number: TB0363 (T3 series turbo) Compressor Trim: 50 Compressor housing A/R: .42 Turbine housing A/R: .48 Horsepower Capabilities: ~275hp Internal Wastegate: Yes Water cooled: Yes Wastegate setting: 7 psi Quote:
Yeah space is quite tight down there but even as tight as it was it was comforting to see that I was able to get the clearance that I did and I think honestly I can get a little more as stated before and if I move/replace or redo the wastegates. I was looking at the EVO turbos and they are designed a little better for this type of fitment. and it seems like if all goes well I may sell these and get another T3/T4 hybrid with a .60/.80 trim and run a set of those. But for now I just wanna try it out and learn a few things first hand. As for the skid plate My preference would be aluminum but I may end up going with another metal I have to look into what silimar options are most used. What would be really cool is doing like what Mr. Keith had mentioned and be able to cover a larger area of underside of the car and possibly even replacing the tranny skid plate as one larger solid (welded) plate.

Of course if you want this T04E 57-trim compressor wheel and .70A/R compressor housing and backplate that I have sitting around (ready for a T3/T4 hybrid) to run a single...just let me know. 4" in 2.5" outlet. You can have it if you will use it. ![]()

It's going slow. I still don't have the right housing for my turbo yet, but the computer is tuned now. I've been working on the roof, but that's another slow-moving part of the project, seeing as it's the first time I've worked with aluminum, and I'm learning as I go. Keeping me busy.

I agree that it may be a good idea to weld up teh waste gates and run a single external that could also give me some more play room down there. Running a larger single seems like a good idea too. I would be interested in seeing a comparison that was Legend specific between the two so down the road. Thank youthat is a very generous offer, I may have to take you up on that. But I would have to give you something for it. Right now I really wanna just see any kind of F/I on this car so I am going to keep moving forward till it has it. Quote:

![]() Car Craft did an article about 8-10 years ago where they put a Big Block Cadi + trans in a Chevette. No thats not a mistype, i said chevette =). It ran 11s on its first run. @Telion Honda racing did turbos in the NSX on a 3.0L, thought you might want to look into it for ideas.

Ok I got a goof view of what it looks ike to have the car at its normal (ie not on jackstands) height and well I really don't think that is where I want the turbos, I would be very sick if I hit a speed bump and lost them and a portion of my exhaust or had a skid plate that sat that low. I should have firgured
6-3=3 ie the amount of space that is also left between the turbos and the ground. into the engine bay they will go. I just gotta find a way to run all that pipe. Which leads me to my next question/opinions of each of you exhaust informed ones? can I run a 3" pipe in off the y and then split it to each turbo in teh engine bay, and then do the same thing going back out so that there is only one 3" pipe coming in and one going out, and both getting T-d off in the engine bay? Positive side note radiator is in once installed and tested I will put up a review.

If you are going to come off the Y-pipe, wouldn't it be a LOT easier to just do 1 bigger turbo? You could relocate the battery + fuse box and stuff it right there.

The radiator is in and installed, If you were to get one though I would cross reference the Accord that has the same coolant temp sensor as our cars. There were also a few ther slightly suspected issues with the variation I got. You will need to fabricate custom mounts upper and lower I can through together a Quick How I did it list and pics once I figure out my photobucket password (grr). The hoses need to be cut back a little so there is no undue stress on the radiator. And for some reason the radiator cap (which I planned to swap out anyway didn't want to be cooperative in terms of coming off. I did find this as a cap issue and not a design issue as my radiator cap works and fits great. All in all I am very please especially when you take into account that you get a $100.00 fan making the cost of a completely welded alll aluminum radiator just under $100.00 which is not off par from OEM. No updstes as to it's cooling abilities as I am still in the bleeding process of it. Now I know why I normally fill and bleed it on ramps or jack stands.
As for going with one big turbo, I really have no desire for my car to be a drag queen, I want her to be a bit more balanced and I just have the urge to do twins vs. singles; personal preference I suppose. Only update on that is that they are definately not going under the car. I don't want to have to fear bumps, unknown roads or unknown changes in the roads too late.

lol not sure what you mean by that but, I am re-stating what I have learned thus far and that is that most people that have a single large turbo vs. twins need the power and are ok with the increased spool time because they can afford a few seconds for a very rewarding pay off down a straight away where as usually a tt setup the spool time is decreased and in my scenario the two turbos would be smaller so they would not yield as much top in power but will provide it in a shorter time. But again I have no first hand experience in this and wou encourage you to see what you find regarding this and jump in the conversation pool of knowlege too.
