MSD goodies

Is it possible to use the MSD blaster coil in place of the factory? Would it perform any better? Does it give more juice then the factory coil? What about mounting in my G1 engine bay? Can I just mount it at factory points? Just wondering.

Couldn't find factory secondary voltage rating in Helms manual, so I'm not sure. If it is higher, I doubt it'd be that much higher, and I doubt that just the coil would give much performance difference on our G1s.

It also prob. won't be a direct bolt on, but if your not afraid of putting a couple holes in your fender, it's not all that hard to mount. I'm running a Crane LX92 in almost the stock location, had to screw through inner fender.

Well, what about the coil in addition to a amp (e.i. hi-6 amp)?
