Some more pics today. Only had a few hours to work on it, I had to go to the dealer's auction tonight. Have a few FYI's, sorry if this has been covered before. 1. the lower differential bolts are shorter on the RL. 2. the left side engine to transmission brace does not line up properly.
The bolts for the two bottom differential to oil pan bolts are about 2mm longer on the Legend. The threads in the RL oil pan are less deep, therefore I had to use some washers and a lock nuts. It's a good thing I noticed, because if I wasn't paying attention I could have socked it down with the impact gun and cracked the oil pan. The left side engine to transmission brace will not line up. The oil pan casting is different. I have to grind about 3-4MM off of the part of the bracket that mounts to the oil pan and it should work, find out tommorow. The transmission bolt hole that doesn't line up... I might make a cover plate for this - thats probably too OCD for me though. Almost ready! -Matt

the more info I have to work with the better ( I speak for many) Great work on mentioning about the bolts being a different size too on the mounting to the oil pan I don't recall seeing that before, did you through that in the sticky? Ahh I am sure you did ![]()

As Christian said, I didn't use the brace, it doesn't do anything except get in the way. On the differential, I had no problems bolting down my differential, I used the Legend bolts on the Legend manual diff. I hope I didn't screw anything up. I'll have to double check now.

I've had bad luck with using bolts that were too long - I might have been able to sock it in without cracking the pan, but why risk it???? Ughh... off to work! Time to play with the mount and y pipe. I always save the hardest work for last - I have to go find some manifold-to-pipe studs first. This is going to be a nightmare, I know it. -Matt

Did the exhaust studs break off, or just look like crap? I would just use bolts instead of the factory studs. I have mine set up that way with hardened bolts so when I have to pull the Y-Pipe down, they don't snap off or strip out.
