Matt, personally if I were you buy obx's headers for right now so it will be better from the start instead of later on. But thats what I was thinking was get the obx headers just cause you could sell them later if the other headers are made

Later on down the line I'm going to install them. I'm pretty sure some modifications would have to be done to the OBX's since the 3.5 block is a bit wider and kotetu already had issues with them clearing the steering linkage in the coupe with a 3.2 - so its compounded. I'm waiting on Kotetu's dyno results to see if the OBX's really do gain anything or if it is just from the elimination of the catalytic converter(s), but thats another subject for another time.

The biggest thing with the headers is widening the Y-pipe to make up for the wider engine. Any muffler shop can do that.

Holy shit! I got alot of stuff done today...
Went to the junkyard, got a pair of motor mounts and picked up a water control valve, went to buy all of the supplies (oil coolant, sealer, etc) at the parts place, shopped around for some porting and polishing stuff. Got back to the shop around 10:00. Did a full tune up on a Honda Accord Showed a Civic to a potential buyer (I can't sell cars for shit) Mounted 4 tires on the Accord Legend work.. Replaced both lower control arms Replaced both lower brackets and motor mounts Grinded and fitted the engine-transmission brace Lined up the frame with the car again Lined up the motor on the frame Fabricated (fuckricated) a passenger's side motor mount Ughh.. I'm tired. Time to get drunk. Ok guys, lets not laugh at Matt and his motor mount - worse thing that can happen is the power steering pump cracks. Actually, the mount is tough as nails - its definetly not going anywhere. I brought the mounts to a welder for an estimate and he quoted me $75.00 I said fuck you! and my boss agreed. My boss is a cool dude . If this should happen not to work out for some reason (I doubt it), I'm just going to send both of my mounts to Kenso and have him weld them up on his jig. One of the reasons I didn't already is because I eventually want to upgrade to the 93-95 motor mount setup as those style mounts are easy to fill and reinforce with polyurethane. The other is that I know Kenso has got to be a busy guy and I don't want to inconvenience him. Ok.. so looking at the Legend mount, there was one bolt that lined up with the 3.5 block. I cut out a pretty good chunk of the Legend mount leaving the "stilt" on the left side. It will help distribute the weight some. Than I made an L bracket from some 1/8 steel frame crossmember material (from a '04 Chevy SSR ). One side of it bolts to the differential and the other end slides over the longer bottom power steering pump bolt. I installed the one bolt that lined up with the block, then I installed the power steering pump to make sure everything lined up, and snugged everything down. Worked out great - I gave the mount a whack with a 5 pound hammer in each direction and it didn't budge.-Matt

Depends on if the place that has the port/polish stuff is open tommorow. If so, Monday or Tuesday it will be ready to drive out.

I wish I could - unfortunetly I dont have a place to do it. I guess they consider degreaser an environmental hazard and our shop is in back of a fire station with a dirt parking lot and no drains, so that's a no. I'll bring it to the car wash when its done.

I'm thinking of making a jig similiar to Kenso's for the 93-95 mount, but using the differential bolts instead of the oil pan bolts. -Matt

The legend Y-Pipe bolted right up to the 3.5, no questions asked. I'm beginning to wonder if the motor is in fact wider because everything from the 3.2 lines up well.
Got the intake manifold cleaned up nicely. I dont have time to P&P it , lets see how this works out for now. Automotive paint gun cleaner works great to break up the carbon, but it made me high Installed 3.2 coolant pipe from the thermostat housing and and the outlet onto the back of the head so the coolant hose nipples would be there for the fast idle valve. Made an adapter for the cam/crank sensor using two female ends, one cut from the 3.2 crank sensor and one cut from the RL wire harness (already cut from junkyard). Soldered toghether and shrink-wrapped. The connector for the throttle position sensor (tps) on the 3.2 throttle body/manifold addembly interferes with the 3.5's right timing cover. It doesn't physically touch it, but there would be no way to install the connector. I had to install the 3.5 throttle body because it's TPS sensor is angled in the other direction. Problem is that the 3.5 throttle body has the port for the air boost valve blocked off. Does anyone know what that does and if it is important? If not, I guess I will be finding out .

Drill and swap TPS sensors.
I'm using the 3.2s cam covers. You could have used the cam/crank sensor from the legend, its the same. Thats a nice splice job anyway. My Y pipe didnt fit initially, just bearly. I also have T2 heads though. ~Dv8
