Is it possible? Too much power for the 6-speed? If it fits with little modification and it hooks up to my 6 speed I might seriously consider doing a swap.
Any thoughts?

Please everyone's thoughts on this would be appriciated as I'm in a situation that could make something like this work financially. See my other post about my idea. I should have posted here in the first place.
I think that the biggest issue would probably be that the NSX engine is horizontally mounted and ours is vertical, aren't I correct?
You should start going to some performance shops and asking them what they thing. This has never been done, so I don't think that anybody can really say yes or no, but I can tell you that you shouldn't do it if your Legend is your only car because you may have to have your Legend sitting in a shop for quite a while.
Jason520, you're not alone. I've been wondering the same thing since I bought my Legend. It would be a financial challenge, but if it can be done, I'M ON IT LIKE NOW. Heavy, metal cutting, brain-smoking mods are no problem if I can get the right friends motivated. There's only 2 or 3 phantom NSX's around here, so I can't get any visual specs.
Hearing an NSX motor wind up under the hood of a Legend.....
uuuuuhhhhhhh.........sweeeeeeeeeet..
(excuse me)
If anyone has info, please post!

Think about it this way... how different can the two motors be? If the only difference is vtec and non-vtec then would it be possible to convert our systems to vtec without having to get a whole new engine?
Also, are aftermarket products that can work with our engines to equal the output of the NSX without forced induction (ie: pulleys, camshafts, etc)?
It's going to be humiliating to be smoked at a stoplight by - of all things - a $24,000 Altima. It's a true testament to how times have changed since the early nineties, and finally cars are able to catch up to us type-II's.
It's a travesty and they must be stopped. By me. :p
peace,

There you go Leon. Now you got them all stirred up.
As for the NSX install. This has been beat around more times than I care to count. Bottom line is with enough money anything can be done. I bet the conversion would equal the price of an early NSX so why bother. Also remember the Legend is a heavy car and needs all the torgue it can get. I doubt the NSX engines torgue curve would be suited to the Legend.

Yep, gotta get them prepared so when it comes out in '03 they have their quarters and dollars saved up. This is GOING to happen.
So start saving now folks.....will be less than an NSX swap
