San Francisco/ Bay Area Need Help Desperately!

Wassup my fellow Legend Owners,

I have a serious problem here. This how it begins, I drove up to the bay area with my legend to see my GF. and this one nite that I drove to get something to eat, my car started to act weird. As i turned the steering wheel to the left to park, the steering wheel continued to pull and turn even more with out me turning it like it had a mind of its own. also it made a clicking noise.
so i got scared and drove my baby around the parking lot and it still did that. any ways, it was raining that day so I parked my car, and ate first. after eating i drove back. at first it made a click but after that it was fine. I was really scared that the wheels would lock and i would lose control.
The next day i took it to the mechanics and he didnt' check it but said that it mite have been a dirty joint in my rack and pinion. he told me that it mite have cleared up and can be fine.

but knowing me, im scared.

Would anyone know what the problem is?

I also would need a mechanic in the bay area, ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I will be in the bay area for a week until march 30th.

thank you very much

NEED HELP ASAP

PS: if i dont get my car fixed would i be able to drive back home to LA?

Im in the city of Berkeley.

If you can get your Legend to Daly City. Look up Don Lam at Hill Top Auto Service. He is the owner and is located at 20 Theta Avenue in Daly City. He can be reached at 650/991-8838. Tell him Mike Cruz sent you. His hours are:

Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday - Close

Good Luck...
