Sway bars, Strut bars, need to ask a question...

Why can't we use 6th Generation Accord parts (98-02) for our 2nd Generation Legends? Don't they ride on the same basic platform? So then wouldn't that Accord sway bars work for our Legends? Looking in the engine bay, I can kind of understand why a 6th Genny Accord strut bar may not work, but then again, maybe they would...Does anyone know for sure why these parts are not interchangeable???

They are not the same platform. I don't know if anyone has tried the parts though.

Maybe something will fit if bent, kinda like the Prelude bar.

Are we sure that it's not the same platform? Doesn't Honda basically always use a variation of the "Global Accord Platform" or the "Global Civic Platform" for all of their vehicles? (ie currently the Global Accord is on the Accord, Oddyssey, Pilot, TL, TSX, MDX and RL, and the Global Civic is on the Civic, CR-V, Element and RSX), I thought the Sixth Generation Accord and the Second Generation Legend were the same platform?

I may get a cheapie tie-bar or sway bar for the Sixth Genny Accord and test it out, I'll let y'all know.
