Tiebar installation done!
I know it's been done before, but I had such a good time doing it, I decided to write it up.
![]() 1) block the front wheels 2) jack up the rear 3) place jackstands in front of rear tires, below reinforced points ![]() ![]() 3b) (optional) remove rear wheels 4) (the rest is from http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulleti...066#post732066 ): Remove the self-locking nuts indicated by the blue arrows. ![]() 5) Install the short, adjustable tie bar (adjust the length accordingly to fit). 6) Reinstall self-locking nuts but do not tighten. 7) Turn the center section to until bar is straight and aligned. Lock the adjustment into place by tightening the small nuts on either side of the threaded shaft against the bar. 8) Tighten self-locking nuts and torque to 40 lb-ft. 9) Remove the flange bolt as indicated by the red arrows. ![]() 10) Install the remaining bar and reinstall the bolts. 11) Torque to 76 lb-ft. yah so far everything is wonderful. I drove around one of those long circling freeway entrances at high speed (generally my wheels squeal when I do this) and it was steaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaady. No noise from the wheels at ALL.
![]() Yeah, tiebars by Fut and LegendGS.

Im a little out of the loop here , but is FUT selling tie-bars now? Also I have my sedan dropped on Koni shocks/ HR springs and it handles ultra delicous.
Im wondering if the strut bar and tie bar really make that much more improvement on handling and if so what the benefit of having a stiffer body. When I take turns the car feels great like it stuck to the floor the way it is now.

Anything that will reduce body flex will increase your cornering responsiveness and cornering. But at some point it's no longer up to the body or the shocks... It just boils down to the tires the energy is transferred to. Hard 80,000 mile tires are not goin to stick to the road in any comparison to n/a mile rated soft rubber tires. But every little bit helps...

I have one quick favor. Can you measure the length between the 2 nuts where the bar mounts.
Thanks, Isaac

Well, I had a couple of tie bars lying around that maybe I can fit on there. So I was just asking. I was asking for the silver bar. The one on the very back.
Thanks, Isaac
