Torque converter failure?

Hello gurus, need a little help here. I'm experiencing a nasty vibration in this here coupe of mine. Its especially obvious when starting the car, but its noticible anytime. When starting, I can feel this harsh vibration all the way through the floor boards, the whole car shakes. At idle when I rev up to around 1600rpm, instead of just the normal legend shake, I can see and feel the whole car shake. It feels pretty harsh, like its coming from inside the engine or something.
Specifics-
Jdm Type II
Type II ecu-non chipped
Type I auto tranny
Polyed rear tranny mount. -
Got my tranny mount done...
Flush and fill recently.

My buddy said torque converter, I've read some threads about differential, Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas? thanks everyone in advance.

well I had a buddy of mine shift through the gears while holding down the brake. The engine didn't move much, maybe an inch or so.
Looks like I might have to take it to a mechanic, I hate payin diagnostic fees

Edit: Took it in today and the Torque converter was ruled out. Apparently there is a spacer at the bottom of the differential that he thinks may have been left out when the motor was swapped. He's also thinking the Harmonic Balancer may be bent or out of alignment in some way. Its going in on Wednesday

well its been a week and my mechanic can't figure it out. HB was ruled out- He did say that there is a shim between the tranny and engine on the differential side but not on the other side. Anyone know if thats normal?

Arrggghhhhh!!! Transmission shop just called, tranny's all good. They say its something off balance inside the engine.
To recap- the mechanic says its in the tranny, the tranny guys say its in the engine- apparently this is far too complex for any of these guys to figure out.

Its going to the guys that did the engine swap next week and I'll post up.

I'm wonder if it could be a timing issue? Its noticibly slower than my other legend.
