Lightened pulleys (same size as stock)
Lightened flywheel (would be the sh*t!!! I'd love to see this for a Legend)
Lightweight driveshaft

I know some of this is major stuff, but alot of people tend to forget that it's not just the power of the engine, it's how it gets to the ground-if all the components are light, then that means more power AND better throttle response (plus every mod will be used to it's fulest potential). If we can convince certain companies to make the above, the legend can move up the latter of preformance luxury.
Working on Cam Gears, and just sent off a flywheel to make a lightened version with a replaceable friction pad, so it would last a lot longer. I dont think light weight driveshafts would be a reasonable mod for a high hp car, because i think we are about to get to the point where we will start breaking drive shafts. Kyle currently makes lightweight pulleys, and there are headers out.

Kyle's lightweight pulleys are WAYYYYY to expensive to even consider, I would like to see some Blackend'd'd'd ones along with adjustable cam pulleys.

I can think of no better way to waste time than reproducing existing parts to meet a lower price-point that's not even an order of magnitude cheaper.

Additionally, if you look up the prices for aftermarket pulley sets on commonly modified engines, you'd see that Kyle's prices are exactly in line. The price is absolutely reasonable. In fact, if they were manufactured here in California, the price would have been at least a hundred dollars higher; hence we elected to make them in Colorado, bringing the price-point low as possible. You guys complain about everything that isn't free.

You pay for what you get. If you don't understand that, devote time to inspect the nice Legends on this forum and see what you're missing out on.

Word. I didn't think Kyle's pulley's were expensive. I just didn't have the money to afford them (much to my dismay).

My frame of reference is what I've been reading in the E36 M3 community. Our pulleys really didn't seem too far out of line to me...

Thank you for posting to help stop FUD on this forum, man. There is a fundamental difference between not having the money versus the part being too expensive that is being confused. I think these guys mean, "too expensive for their Legend budget" which is fine, but has _nothing_ to do with the parts being overpriced.

k.

As much as I agree with you Keith, price discussion isn't what this thread is for. It's just for ppl to tell Brian what they want. If someone wants Brian to try to do pulleys at a lower price, that's their perogative. It'll be up to Brian to decide if he will try, and find out if he can make a similar product cheaper.

Brian - want to update the first post with a compilation of requests?

The things requested:
Adjustable Sway Bar Endlinks - Front and Rear
Big Brake Kit
Light pulleys
Adjustable cam gears
Light flywheel
CF grill surround
Polyurethane bushings
CAI kit (rangerjoe)
performance Y pipe
Roots style supercharger
adjustable control arms
polyurethane rear transmission mount
fender braces
6+ point lower cross brace
Traction bars
turbo kit (8psi)
anti sway bars
plastic intake manifolds
under carriage diffusers
adjustable camber/toe pieces
Torsen LSD
Headers
Cam shafts
Lightweight driveshaft
axles

You could paste this set over in your first thread and add comments right next to each item. The italicized ones are the ones you mentioned in your initial post.

.

Cool--I'm just hoping to stop the wide-spread of Pulley FUD. Let's add another list:

Duplicate parts (a la "the wheel reinvented") already produced by other vendors for purchase today:
Acura's Factory Lower Rear Control Arms (for easy rear toe adjustability)
SPC Adjustable Camber Plates
Brembo, Stoptech, or Wilwood Big Brake Kit
Labrat's Light Pulleys
Addco Anti Sway Bars
Se7en CAI

Go ahead and laugh; you know it's funny; you know it's true too

ok I will That is definitely worthwhile info, Brian and Tyler both already posted about parts already being made. I'm also still working on both the Y pipe and headers, so we can add those to this list.

Corrections for you:
Acura's Factory Lower Rear Control Arms are weak in design and are usually the first suspension piece to bend. They are also hard to adjust and have no indication marks for resetting any adjustments.

SPC makes a ball joint replacement camber kit that adds height to the control arms and give us extra dents in the engine bay I'm talking about real camber plates that mount on top of the struts and articulate the strut directly...

Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just trying to make it better

I think that another good point to raise is that, although your y-pipe and headers represent a duplicate effort, they stand to prove significant gains over existing products; whereas the products I listed above stand to gain nothing obviously (at least to me) substantial from duplication, unless their price-point could be lowered an order of magnitude for an equivalent part. I'd consider that substantial gain, but the chances are slim unless we outsource.

perfect, combine your post with Brian's right above and apply it to the parts mentioned, where applicable. Shake well and serve over ice.
