Go with OE or felpro Hgs, do not use eBay Hgs but if you buy a gasket kit all the other gasket can be used.

There are no real oem Hgs because Honda never had oem, they are all produced by ishino I believe.

As of right now I am used all of the eristic gaskets, 500 miles so its too early to tell if these eBay Hgs will blow. The brand was recommended by this forum but always be weary of eBay Hgs and make sure to torque your heads to the new specs.

While your at it it could be wise to clean your egr valve located in your intake manifold, when plugged it will advance timing and increase heat in cylinders 3 and 6 causing them to seep, or so it has been said. There are people who use egr block off plates and haven't had problems.

That is completely up to you.

Felpro will be your best bet on head gasket. 8 legends strong 1 bhg so far replaced back in 03 and still going strong.

Thanks for the information! looks like im going for the FelPro Head Gaskets,my mechanic also recommended the brand.what do you think of Beck Arnley parts? when I first bought my Legend I used that brand for replacing the water pump, timing belt, belt tensioner, fuel injectors and gas filter got it all from rockauto.com hope I made a decent choice.

BHG fixed finally!! no more white smoke,no combustion fumes in coolant test, not boiling over to reservoir but the temp needle started playing its game again going from hot to cold on and off. i have a new radiator and coolant temp sensor on the way. I hope it solves the problem. what else can it be??????

Egr valve and pice clogged along with the back of the intake port clogged so take intake apart and clean it. Check fan relay and inspect and or replace all coolant hoses there a lot of them.

Oem Tstat is recommended, make sure it is installed according to factory specs, the pin must be aligned proper.

I have a aftermarket Tstat myself. 1000 miles and still cool

While your heads are off, clean your egr, pipe, and take a look at your all your cylinders crosshatchings, drop the pan and pistons if you have to.

Rehone if you need to, and reorder larger rings to compensate for wear of your cylinder walls.

After you put everything back together the last thing you want is to do it again.
