Hello everyone. I just picked up an 95 Legend 4-door with 140,000 on it. She ran good when test driving it. The seller was honest and told me that it had a BHG. So I had to see for myself and drove the car for at least 30 minutes until it started running hot and spitting coolant out. But anyway I got this baby for a steel at $700!!! Now I see why people sell these cars for cheap when they have BHG's. The dealers want 2arms and 2 legs to repair them. I might be new to this site but not to repairing vehicles. So yes I will be taking on this project myself. It doesnt look hard at all, just a lot of time to remove things that is in the way of getting to the heads. So any info, advise, pics, web sites for parts, or used parts that my fellow Legend members might have to help me get to know this Automobile will be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the forum, it is a breath of fresh air to hear about honest sellers. The most important thing when doing HG jobs is using OEM or Felpro gaskets sets. The other gaskets can be ordered from EBay for under 80.00 shipped.

The timing belt, water pump and all of the coolant hoses should also be replaced. The EGR valve, pipe and intake should also be disassembled and cleaned. It's also a good idea to make sure the radiator cap, fans and anything else related to the cooling system is properly functioning. The last thing you want is to do all that work and have it fail again prematurely.

Thanks Bigboy I appreciate the info. Besides the diagrams on Wiki do you or anyone else reading this know where else I can find more diagrams of the engine parts? Also whats a good exhaust to put on this thing that will give me a nice low throuty sound? And is there anything I can do to increase the gas mileage on this baby?
