Ok, this is annoying. Would someone please fix the search function so when you put two or more words in it for a search it will look for both words together not seperatly.
I'm trying to find Window Auto down and it gives me a search for each individual words. I'm about to pull my hair out.

its like google, you have to "quote the words" if you want them in an order. by simply having the 2 words, it'll search for both in the article (or sometimes either), but if you put them in quote it'll find them exactly like that.

Ok, I'll try that. If that is the case then it should be written somewhere on the advanced search page!

well, another trick is if you can't find what you're looking for, you can specify the site, including cutting that down. so say I want to search only G1 section, I would type: ["what I'm looking for" site:acura-legend.com/vbulletin/f2] or you can just do [what I'm looking for site:acura-legend.com]. even more so, you can cut down on time frame in the advanced search area, and say look for stuff from last week, or last month.
I like to use that to search sites like craigslist which have like 20 other sites. I usually type ["Acura Legend" site:craigslist.org/cto] and it'll search all cars for sale ads all over the country. then I cut it down to like last week only and check out whats out there.
as far as common knowledge, I don't know when I learned it, but its a very useful trick. you can also type [minus(-)] if you don't want to look for certain things and it works on ebay as well. so lets say I'm looking for a new mp3 player, but I know for sure I don't want an iPod, I'd type [mp3 player -ipod] and it would erase all entries that have ipod in them. or on google, I want acura cars, but not integras or rsx [acura -integra -rsx].

^That is some good info right there!
I guess I have lots to learned still about online searches...though I'm still pretty good...especially compared to those I work with...they think I am a computer expert...I am not, but I know a lot about many different things...but I can say I am an expert at Microsoft Excel...I can turn any Data Dump into an Informative Report.

It is still flawed IMO. It used to allow those kind of searches, but for a long time it hasn't.
One workaround when you are searching for two terms that don't always go together in a quote is to put one word in quotes, put 'and' in between and the other word in quotes. Like "slow" and "forum".
