Do you have any pictures or could you be more specific on how this thing works... that is a general requirement for things in this section of the forums. All specifics need to be laid out for the most part so that someone coming here could read up on everything in this section and understand without having to post questions.

Ok, basically our cars have 2 antennas connected to the stock radio, one is the power antenna and another one embedded in the back window glass. The 2 antennas are connect to the back of the stock radio with 2 separate connector. A large circular connector for the power antanna and a smaller one for the window antenna. Here's a picture on Koji_H's Legend Tuner

Now for the many of us that replaced the stock radio with a aftermarket deck. Aftermarket deck only comes with one antenna connector, it's the larger one for the power antenna, so most of us just leave the window antenna disconnected.
But then many of us also tend to break that power antenna easily. So instead of replacing the power antenna, we could just hook up the window antenna which will work almost equally well. But to make the window antenna connector fit the back of an aftermarket radio, you'll need that part blo described in the top of this post.

Hope this helps!

Hey Ian, I need to hit up that autozone too, I bought mine for $11 at circuit city, I'm gonna return mine and buy another one at autozone. Thanks

Sorry guys stupid question, but I'm a newbie.... is this part intended to make BOTH the window and regular antenna work simutaniously or is it just for the window antenna? basically what i'm asking is that if you install this part and use the window antenna, do you lose the use of your regular antenna? also, does that part work w/ all aftermarket radios?

So where is this back window antenna located at? Where is the cable used to hook up to the radio?

Yes, with aftermarket radios you can use only one or the other. The dual antennas are a diversified antenna that switches between one or the other depending on reception. The stock deck determines this, thus aftermarket radios can only use either. If you hook up both antennas you could get unwanted multipath.

Look closely at your ack window. You will notice there are a couple lines above the rear window glass defrester that is NOT connected to the rest of the lines. This is your window antenna. The cable plug to hook it up is located right behind your deck near your mast antenna plug.
