Because the navigation unit in the trunk was four personal PCs big and was made of a bunch of atari's soldered together. I'm surprised they had maps for Japan. I'm surprised accelerometers actually guided people places.

From the research that I've done, I think that the Farenheit LCD mentioned here is a non-touch screen model. Can anyone confirm that?
I'm wanting to put a CarPC in my Legend, so I'll need to opt for a touch-screen model. Take a look at the Xenarc or Lilliput over at the mp3car.com store. There's lots of selections there and I think a 7" may actually fit, but I'm just speculating at this point.

I'm considering putting in a pionner N2(a flip up navi). My brother is willing to give it to me the only issue being it may need a new motor which is small potatoes as opposed to getting the unit $500 new. I'd keep the radio screen in except to input driving directions on the touch screen. Still not sure though. I'm thinkin about it. Much cheaper than a carputer.

I see the models your talking about. I don't think they'll fit. They're beefier. Keep checking ebay and google the unit. Its around.
