hey does anyone know how to wire up the jdm radio to the usdm car, or what the wiring is on the jdm radio?
hey ken i had to practically cut off that right wing to get the main frame onto the car i couldnt get pics gf dont know where the wires are. so now im stuck on installing the radio as i cannot find the power wire. i have a friend helping me on this and he's more inclined than me in more ways than 1. the guy has the wires memorized from the usdm setup on hondas/acuras but when he was trying to power the radio with some tool to see if it would come on it wasnt doing anything. so if anyone has an idea how to wire jdm radio or can find a jdm radio wiring diagram please lemme know asap
Hi, where can I get one of those JDM navigation consoles and what years and models do they work with?
u gotta search in the F/S section or on ebay/yahoo auctions or simply put japan. it would fit in all g2 models but shouldnt be used with models with a standard transmission

Does anyone know what type of paint would work best to color match my interior? I believe that sharr had painted his but I forgot what type of paint he used and where he bought it.
Thanks for the help.

Shaar had painted the screen bezel to conceal the "Honda Navigation System" as well as make for a nice fresh finish. If you're talking about painting the body panels, as in the back console, you should probably make a new thread and ask. Remember, you can use the two forward console framing pieces original to your car with the JDM console.
^^^ yes i had did this myself just take a look at the side panels and remove the brackets off the panels. remove one side at a time so u can keep eveything in order and put back as if it came just in black
Ken help! I have my console ready to go but I can not find the pins to make the clock work Have any idea which wires connect to which? Thanks for anyone who helps

Ok. So heres what I originally posted:
Quote:
Now all thats left to do is hook up the clock and hazards. Here is a diagram for how the clock is wired:
The only pins we need to worry about are 2, 3 and 5. Pin 2 is ignition power, pin 3 is ground and pin 5 is all the time power. All of those can be found in your old clock harness. Use your power meter to be certain exactly which pin is which in your old clock harness remembering that one is a headlight power.
You only need to take your old 4 pin clock harness and rig it to the new clock. What I did was let the harness dangle in the cavity and stick some 16 gauge wire in the pin holes then crimp those wires to the wires off the clock harness. Did your JDM screen bezel not come with the harness for the clock?
I don't fully understand your problem. Hopefully I covered it by just going over things. That diagram should be everything you need.

That I'm not positive about. Its easy to determine with a power meter. The black one on the end is obviously ground and the red is probably the headlight power so even if you don't have a power meter you can deduce which is what by plugging the ground in and trying pin 2 ignition power between the two yellow wires. Whichever makes the clock stay on is the all-the-time power. The remaining wire must be the ignition power.
Sorry I can't be more concise but my car is 80 miles away and I can only look through my photo archive.
Ok ken one final thing, I checked again I was playing around hitting buttons and hmm it worked?
Which way should I be counting the wires?
Which way? The video is with no key in the ignition and just hitting the R button I think (its out of the trim) and lighting for a few seconds then off. Is that right? Its been forever since I have seen a clock in my car I forgot haha.
The blue wire I have going to ground and the yellow wire going to constant power. Correct?
Oh and the factory wiring color diagram is as follows
black= ground
white/yellow= constant 12v
yellow= ign
red/black = dimming I think its called.
Just someone double check me make sure I'm right I don't want to blow this baby.

Ok. You definitely have the harness numbered right in the first picture. Can't tell which way the harness is oriented in the second picture so I can't say. In the video, it looks like you have it hooked up correctly. If the clock comes on when you go to ignition 2 you got it. You definitely have the all-the-time power and ground correct. Just have to plug in the green wire to the ignition power.
The harness is just flipped in the second picture. Ok thanks Ken looks like I'll finish my blue clock today I just wanted to make 100% sure I was correct only because I couldn't remember if the clock should constantly be shown without the key or I have to press a button for that.
