by pass for alpine

any of you alpine in dash monitor owners who are anoyed with the foot brake switch to watch video.....

here is the thing you really want to buy!

some shops might be able to by pass the feature that will NOT allow you to watch and drive....(for the alpine cva 1003,1005)

there is a part from PAC model # tr-7
this will send a negative pulse to the unit to make it "think" that the e brake is up and the foot brake has been stepped on thre times....

just a little help here

You could just hook up the cable to a ground. Thats all it needs.

I've used the Electronic bypass switch when we hooked up my friends CVA. I bought it on the internet for $29.99 or something.

For the Alpine you can manually bypass with a momentary switch or toggle switch on the ground only. You would need to hook the foot brake as normal and either connect the handbrake (Ground) to the toggle or momentary. For the momentary switch you just need to get the type where it is normally closed and open when you push the button. I've done this with my CVA. The electronic bypass just makes it so much easier because it is done automatically at start up.
