1990 Acura Legend coupe LS Engine Swap?

So i have a 1990 Acura Legend Coupe LS with the 2.7L v6. the tranny is auto and it has about 209.XXX miles on it. I really want to do a engine swap with my car becaues i love the style and becaues my car is very sluggish. it has a great deal of loss of power in D and i have been haveing to take off in 2. Any thoughts on have the engine just re-built, getiing another 2.7L v6 put in Or does anyone know if any other engines will fit or have been put in this car?? i really want a 3.2L V6 from the like 05' TL in it but i dont know if its worth it Please SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

It's not clear if the problem is with the engine or transmission. It could be worn clutches in the transmission. I would have a transmission shop evaluate it first.

It would be useful to do a compression check on the engine. If the compression is low it may be an engine problem.

The 2.7 L engine is fairly complex but can be rebuilt. If you can remove and replace the engine yourself, and disassemble it and reassemble it, it might be possible to rebuild it for between $1-2K. Keep in mind that a complete gasket set is ~$400.

I would think a 3.2L swap would be complex, requiring at least swapping both the engine and transmission plus the wiring harness and computer.
