BIG PUDDLE ON RIGHT FRONT SEAT FLOOR AFTER IT RAINS

Hello,

I have a large puddle now on the floor of my 1987 Acura Legend in front of my right front passenger seat after every rain.

What a nuisance!

What is that about?

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

I recently had substantial engine work done, including replacing the timing chain, water pump and valve cover gaskets.

Might that be related somehow?

Thanks,

I tried to attach a foto, but this 100kb file size limitation is way too draconian....and it's just a little foto from my cell phone....

Hey there, sweet a local member.

I'm guessing you have a sun roof? If it does, it sounds like the drain tube are clogged. If you open the sun roof, you'll see a drain on each corner. Use a compressed air to blow out the crap from behind the mud flap (if you have them).

Thanks!

Yes a local member and a Giants fan as well! Big on Scutaro!

Thanks so much, I'll definitely look into that! I'm not positive, is the sun roof connected to the mud flap somehow?

I'm not too mechanically inclined.

Will I be doing two separate things 1) somehow clean the drain on the sunroof and 2) clear out the area behind the mudflaps with compressed air?

(I do have both the sunroof and mudflaps....)

That's a beautiful red Legend you have!

Cheers,

matt

Thank you, she still a work in progress lol. Anyways, the drain where the sun roof is has a tube that runs all the way down behind the mud flap. Blow the air through the top where the water enters and you'll see junk just get pushed out behind the mud flap.
