this is getting interesting. I could not believe that Alexei got it so wrong. The fact that the dipslay says CD tells you that the stereo is switched to accept the input from the DIN plug. Make sure the connections are correct, and it looks it cause it works on your accord stereo.

I 'd double check your connectors. If they are proven correct, try Alexei's pinout. Maybe there are a couple versions of the stereo. But I doubt it. Make sure you didn't mess up elsewhere.

I checked out everything but it never seem to work out.

I almost decide my mind to go by a new cheap in-dash unit.

Just before I give up, I would like to know whether I did everything correctly.

Could you take your time and check if the following diagram is correct?

Thanks for the kind concern!

Diagram is correct. DIN is looking at deck right?
This should work.

When toggle is on you get "cd" in display correct? Very Good.

When toggle is off, you get FM. Correct?

Put on FM and get some volume.

Put on MP3 player. Even if you have line out, use the headphone output first. Stick in a headphone and make sure you have some volume.

Stick car stereo jack into MP3 player headphone output.

Turn toggle on, you should hear some sound.

If not, make sure your din plug is inserted properly.

Check solder connections for short.

If you are handy with a VOM, Look for a high impedance load between ground and the other pins. The high impedance is the input for the signal. I'm sure there's something simple going on as that DIN was there to accept a signal from the OEM CD player which provided the 6v when the CD was inserted into it.

You said it worked on your Prelude, correct. This is the original deck and not one from the G2, right? That one has a different pinout.

If after all the above, I can only conclude that the OEM deck itself is faulty.

I know it works on mine and another member's legend too.

Hi,
the link provided is not working any longer.
I have the CHG DIN8 pinout: http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/DIY/sound_system.htm
but which pin should I connect to make the radio switch to the CHG input? There in no AUX pin or so...
Thanks
