Complete Tranny Rebuild!

Hi all,
haven't been on here in a while, since my '90 sedan has been sitting, gathering dust for about two years. I'm moving in a few weeks, so I had to do something with the grey ghost, so after doing every conceivable tranny fix aside from rebuild (clean and test solenoids, replaced shift control solenoid, tranny flush, shift position sensor, etc.) I finally broke down and took it in to be rebuilt. I was going to go with a JDM replacement, but I didn't feel to comfortable with a used tranny, even if it had low miles. Plus, I didn't really have the time to wait to get one (three importers I called didn't have any Legend trannys, but could get them from Japan.)

They found the forth clutch pack completly worn (controls 4th and R, surprisingly the gears I didn't have) and replaced all packs, TC, filter (there is an internal filter, no matter what some people here try to tell you), lock-up solenoid, and fixed one broken mount and axel which probably broke when I was driving it around with a harsh-shifting tranny. Hell, they even filled it with Honda ATF without me even reminding them to do so. Great service from this place. Glad I didn't take it to a National Chain. May have been cheaper, but I trust this places work and service better.

Total cost:
parts $931.63
labor $1,068.45
total after tax $2,146.09

OUCH.

But, the car is still in great shape besides, and I feel that with a new transmission that I can get this much out of the Legend. I'm giving it to my fiance unless I decide to give up my CRX (probably not.) This way I can still drive her anytime I want. Drove around for about an hour last night and forgot how much I love this car.

I LOVE THIS CAR!
