i know that if you take an alternator up to autozone they can test it, but i dont know if it has to be in the car or out, or even it if matters.

It's the fuel pump main relay, common problem on this vintage honda. The soldered joints eventually just give out. Had to replace mine on the legend and civic. For me it was worth the dealership cost to know you have a new one that will last another 10 years.

Thumbs down stuttering in acceleration

well it seams my perfect legend is not so perfect anymore... ive had a stutter in the acceleration lately. not necessarily when i accel from a light more so when im already moving at a constant pace in the city or highway. ill give it gas to accel and the car stutters rapidly, as if wind is hitting it hard quickly and stopping quickly. my best guess would it would need a tune up or maybe a fuel filter? let me know what ya think!

I would check for a cracked or fallen off vacuum line. (There is enough of them on our cars). Check EGR function (Carboned up?). How are the wires, distributor cap, rotor, plugs etc. Those are all free checks before changing your fuel filter. Then check the other gas related components.
