'89 L Model Sedan, Automatic. A sort of dark gunmetal color. Bought it at an auction for $1800, then since it had a lot of differed maintenence stuff on it needing: New brake rotors and brake lines in front, pads all around(Metal Masters), New springs and struts in front (Tokikos), New cat-back exhaust (stock aftermarket), major tune up (plug wires (the '88 originals were still on it...) (NGK), dist cap & rotor(Bosch), plugs( Denso Iridium), and fuel filter (Bosch) and checking the timing (did the tuneup all myself), a trans flush, and oil change, (Castrol Syntech(5w-50), with an Acura filter)--all total: 2500 dollars worth of work!
(my doing some of the labor saved probably $300 too). SOOOOO, watch out for auctions! But, happily, the car is probably worth >$4300, and hey, it drives like a new car now too--and burns no oil. Since putting in synthetic oil, no valve tapping either! I think my buying it rescued it from a "differed maintenence" early death... I really didn't know much about Legends before that durned auction...but now I really love it. Extremely solid stable well handling car, with excellent excelleration (especially after the Iridium plugs). Now if I can just get the right replacement speakers and Amp for the thing, I'll be set! (Any suggestions???) Oh, by the way, my choice of parts and services was largely informed by all the good counsel available in this forum. Good job folks!

G1
My '90 LS now has 97k on her. Totally garaged since the show room floor. My mom bought it 12 years ago. All work done by Acura of Seattle. She can't even make the 3 months or 3,000 miles when it comes to oil changes, the months beat the miles by far. Totally stock, only with a Pioneer 6 disc, Piaa fog lights, and tinted windows. Sweet huh?

Sounds sweet--but do change that oil every quarter.... 3000 miles or not. I've heard the experts say oil changes are a miles OR time thing, as oil gets gunky just sitting there. The legendary little old lady who rarely drives her car can have some mighty sticky oil if she only changes it once a year....
Oh, and next time try synthetic....
