G1 on Pimp my ride next week

hey i jsut watched mtv about the blazer and they said next week its gonna be a 4door G1 on there.
Be sure to check it out~ I hope they dont rice it up.
I have a 89 Accord, so I'm also in the G1 family, well at least a cousin

Really? They're gonna mess it up. I'm sorry to say that, but they are. The best vehicle they've EVER done on that show, in my opinion, has been the VW van they did two weeks ago. That was definitely my fav.

They are going to F that car up, the only work they do is cosmetic, and don't change the engine to handle those mods, it will cause mor problems then you can the person could afford, if they could it wouldn't be on that show in the first place. I look forward to seeing how the F up this poor guys car.

Yeah I never once seen then do anything engine wise on that show with the exception of the CRX in which they took out the engine, changed a couple gaskets and did an oil change and called it a "rebuild!!!"

If I were to get any of my cars on any show, it would have to be TLC's "Overhaulin." They usually do older cars, but they will do a COMPLETE ground up rebuild of the entire car...and in the end make it VERY taseful! No 20" bling on all four corners, no fancy TVs in every imaginable open spot, just Staright Balls-out power with a NEW engine and tranny upgrade, tasteful interior, updated suspension, updated braking system, and new electrical components, and a propper (not gaudy) paint job. I love that show! I'll admit that it has seriously brought me to tears before because the cars' owners are told that their cars are stolen so the are completely in the dark about the overhaul and they will often have a very emotional attachment to the cars...I'm sure we can all relate!!

Yeah,

Overhaulin' and Rides are by far the best two car shows now. "Sick Fish" has been the best car that has been restored out of both of those shows. Oh, I can't forget about Redline and Ride with FMF. Flex knows how to restore cars very well.

I don't like watching Boyd Coddington's show though. I guess I don't like him and his staff. They take things too damn serious. Even Tuner Transformation is kinda weak.

does anyone have "speed" channel? I was watching this show called, Tuner Transformation. I'd have to say that was the lamest, high-schooler produced car restore show I have ever seen. They put $10,000 as the limit budget. Then they get a fairly new car, the one I saw was a 95 BMW M3. All they did was wax it, add some decals, add wheels, nitrous, chip and exhaust and then they added drama in (probably unintentionally) when two of the guys disagreed on how it should work. So one of the guys threw a fit and ran away. I was very disappointed how well they composed themselves on a channel that only covers motorized racing. Just a word to the wise, dont watch this show. by all opinions it really does suck.

Its on Sundays during the "Sunday Stew"; I think it comes on at around 8:00pm.

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure they do some repairs other than the asthetics. It's just most of MTV's viewers are 14-year-old girls who couldn't care less about engine internals and forced induction. West Coast Custumz (or however you spell it) was actually a prestigous shop even before X to the Z sold his soul to MTV. Anyway... looking at all the projects that they do... I wouldn't let them touch my G1, well, if they did I could probably sell it and buy a Nissan.
