Are there any fluids in that area besides brake fluid? Maybe a brake line?

Isn't the coolant reservoir on the RIGHT front side? I suppose that is a matter of perspective tho isn't it hehehe.... The reservoir is in front of the tire in anycase. Brake fluid can look yellowish when new, tho it gets darker when old...I'd guess a ruptured brake line. That has happened to a few people here recently since the original rubber lines are quite old and brittle by this point if they haven't been replaced.

I am almost positive that it is water with antifreez in it. I have been fearing a blown head gasket and i think i actuly have one now. My friend said that somtime when a blown head gasket gets bad it just dumps out the cooolent.

If you have your radiator cap off you will have alot of bubbling in the radiator. There is also a test at the tailpipe that will indicate a blown headgasket. From what members have posted though, it's not common on G1s'. Pull your oil dipstick to check if there's water in the pan. I hope you don't have a blown HG. Sorry if you didn't appreciate the joke...Good Luck!

By the way, how is your water temp? If you don't have oil in your water and your not overheating, add water and drive to a garage that can pressure test your cooling system.
Tomorrow you'll probably have a few guys with alot more knowledge on the board. Good Luck!

If it was yellow, did it feel really oilly (kinda like disel)? it couldve been either brake or clutch fluid (if from the driver's side) see if either cylinders have lost any amount of fluid.

If it was kinda sticky and smelled a little sweet, it couldve been coolant from any of the hoses or heater hoses....see if youve lost coolant...Ive seen orange and green coolant but never yellow....so its a long shot...otherwise i cant think of anything else that would be yellow (i think the Honda power steering fluid is clearish redish right?)

EDIT:
If you suspect a blown HG...do you have a constant white smoke coming out of the tailpipe? Water in the oil or vise versa? I dont know about your area, but here it might be more cost effecient just to get a replacement motor and drop it in yourself than have the current one rebuilt...even beter, for those who have the cash, get just a beater replacement engine for now to get around with, and start a sweet build up of another (gotta have marathon mentality on this one though dude). Imagine a sweet internally modded engine to YOUR specs with new timing belt/water pump, NO leaky gaskets, NO burning oil, and NO ticking lifters! Good luck with whatever u decide to do man...

Actually now that I think about it, I have seen coolant that looks pretty much yellow. If you're using green stuff and your cooling system has started to rust out, the rust in the coolant can make it look almost yellow. Also, from what I understand this could mean your water pump is going and is leaking, that would come out in the vicinity of the front wheel (on the passenger side, be that right or left :p ). If it were a blown headgasket your oil should look kinda like chocolate milk. Regardless of what is leaking, I would think a simple check of all your fluids would lead you to the culprit. If it was a significant amount of fluid that leaked from any system in your car, you should be able to see that in the respective resevoir. Goodluck!
