If so, try pulling the number 7 (7.5 amp) fuse from the underhood fuse box for about a minute and then replace it...this should clear your ECU....run the car and see if the light comes back...

If it does, a simple cleaning of the lift sensor might help out...if not...well...we'll just cross that bridge when we come to it
yeah allready cleared it and it came back but were is the lift sensor located ?

w00t so if it dont pass i can like go back and make him pay for what it needs?

It's attached directly above the EGR valve... belated welcome to the community and enjoy your stay

+1, i almost got a 90 accord for 500 dollars on the ebay, but the owner would not smog it. plus, the guy was selling way too many cars to not be a dealer, so we didnt turn him in for a positive feedback.

which reminds me, i need to smog my car

but on topic, welcome to the forums, and tehachapi is kinda out off the way, but a nice little town.

good luck with the car

Holy crap, you didn't say anything about the rear quarter panel caved in. Are you gonna fix it or just leave it alone? But she looks like a keeper though.

Welcome!
I've seen worse. There should be a good condition bumper and grille out there somewhere. How'd that thing pass safety inspection with that windshield? Wait, does CA have safety inspections?

Anyway, a 5-speed and a new clutch, that should keep you happy enough while you work on the cosmetics.

welcome the dude of darkness

Hi, welcome, this is a great forum and an 88 legend is a great car when all is well, sorry I'm pissy as mine is misbehaving at present.

It is great fun to let the civics get the jump on me before I zip past as they try to race off a light, tromping on the gas while merging onto a highway is also quite excellent.

As for ugly bodywork & paint, well, that's what keeps mine from being stolen!

As for repairing, be warned, legends are tight and complicated, buy the acura books and you'll be ahead.

cheers, Jay

well guys i just got back from the smog check place
they refused to test it due to a dent in the cross member WTF? and no rad fans i can see why they did not want to test it without the fans but what does a cross member have to do with smog? =/
