I have a 1989 Acura LEgend Coupe, some time ago my horns just stopped working, I have pull and checked all fuses and they are in working order. I tried to test the horns by connecting them to the battery straighted wired and I got nothing. I ahve tried also to test the wire leads with a tester light and I got nothing. I have also hooked up another horn to these leads and I got nothing. I wanted to check the connections on the steering wheel but I have a SRS and I'm not sure about taking the airbag off to look and see if something got disconnected. I'm lost right now.......Haynes manual offers nothing for a solution, maybe some or all of you have this problem...............HELP!!!!! I can't blow at any nice women without a horn!!!!!
LOL

Hooking the horns directly to the battery should work. Legend horns seem to have a tendancy to break and either a junkyard replacement or a generic aftermarket replacement should fix your problem.

I have tested both horns and they both work, I don'thave a blown fuse at all in the car for the horn. But I'm not getting any power at all for the lines going to the horns. Like I said I tested the horns and they work but I'm not getting any power at all. Could there be a resistor or another fuse I am not aware of besides the one uder the hood and the one in the interior. I need help I need my horns I'm in Georgia and it can be crazy down here with out any horns with allt he cell phone users!!!!

I was reading about the clock spring and the horn realy and I haven't found nothing that is simlar to my problem. I have brake lights, my cruise control works, I did hit my brakes very hard a while back to avoid an accident, but I don;t know why that would affect my horns. It's the 4th link from the top in this forum. It's called a "sticky" link because it remains at the top of the forum. Anyway, there's a lot of good info there, in addition to the downloadable manual....

....clock spring....??
Check the fuses again, remove and use an Ohm Meter. Sometimes fuses don't look 'blown' when they are. There's also a Horn Relay which may need replacing. The airbag comes off by taking out the two #26 Star bolts on the left and right sides. The left side has a cover to remove to see, the right side is under the Cruise Control module, so it has to come off first. Under the left side cover, there's a red jumper plug to insert prior to removing the air bag so it doesn't accidentally go off. I'd plan to do this. The attached yellow tag has instructions.

If your horns do not work when connected directly to the 12v battery, you've got additional problems. The loss of CC, Time and horns, along with your circuit testing tends to indicate a circuit issue. Check the wiring diagram.

I have tested the horns and they work, I also have check every other fuse that I have, where is the horn relay I would like to check it also. BVut my cruise control is not working and the horns don't work and as I read in another forum this is a clock spring that might have gone bad. From what the forum says this seem to be the culprit. It would explain the crusie control and horns not working. I am going to try to fixs it after I check all the fuses again and the the relay (if anyone know where it is located) I just need some pics of the process.

I agree that the clockspring is the likely culprit. Be careful taking those Torx screws out to remove the airbags. They're very soft and the heads will strip out if you're not careful. From there it gets very, very ugly.
