Arrow The Infamous APC Strut Bar.

This has been discussed alot about 4 years ago... I just got mine so I thought I'd share:

Also, I marked with a sharpy where to cut for mounting in the engine bay:
Where to cut is actually up to you but you have to cut a certain amount off for it to fit correctly. It mounts on a bolt rear of the strut towers rather then the tower itself...

This is the APC 92-00 Civic & Integra Strut Bar. Also I have read on the forums it can be used on the rear strut towers without modifications but I've yet to tear my carpet out to do so... I will post pics of it mounted after I get my body shop to perform the necessary cuts.

Cut...

Grey Cat says whats up...

Installed:

Rear Pics soon...
This bar will NOT install on the rear of a coupe. Maybe it will on a sedan... But not a coupe.

$30 // Your local Advance Auto Parts should have it in-stock, if not, they can have it there within a days time.

I sized it up myself and the only problem I saw was the extra metal, hence the cut that was recommended by guys who have installed this bar. I will have mine cut and installed tomorrow. I'll take pics and tell you how it went down.

I keep forgetting to take pictures of mine.

Install took about ten minutes from opening the box to starting the car.

I suggest getting a second one and putting it in the trunk.

Nice,

Are you going to de-burr it and paint it black or silver or your pale gold to better match your car? Kinda stark in blue there.

does this really help with handling? i think the objective of this bar is to hold the upper and lower part of the strut to make it one solid unit to help with body flex. it seems like that is just attached to the bay...

My car is in the shop with transmission problems, I'll post pics of it later.

Yes, it really does help with handling. My cornering speed and steering accuracy are awesome now.

I'm gonna do most of the wiring in blue: plug wires, ground wires... It's a never ending project so I'm not worried about my colors at the moment.

The purpose is to keep the struts from flexing inward or outward separately. Being that the bolt I used is about 2 Inches away and attached to the same mass, it's pretty much the same thing... I'm sure on the strut tower would be a little more snug, but I don't have $300+ to spend on Fut's custom bar...

APC is still alive. About 4 years ago they had to pay 3 quarters of a million for faulty lights, maybe that's what he spoke of... Even if they did go under they made millions of those generic bars. Look a little harder.
