Left turn signal blinking three times as fast as the right one...

So this just happened today. I started the car and drove and the first left turn I had to make I signalled and it was blinking like it had taken a hit of cocaine. But the right signal is normal, and when I put the hazards on, both lights go back to normal...

I got out and had a look and I noticed the signal light on my left hand side (the bumper one) had a blown bulb and wasn't blinking. The left headlight and tail-light signals were blinking though (at the rapid pace).

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is it as simple as replacing the blown bulb and everything goes back to normal... or is it more serious?

Awesome, thanks guys. Yeah I had a sinking feeling that it might be an electrical issue that's gonna end up costing me $$$. But this is a big relief... will buy the replacement bulb tomorrow!

+1 on the bulb. same shit happened on my dad truck, but instead of the blinker flashing fast, it just stayed on. not even a blink. lol.
