Is Mobil One ATF Okay?
It's time for a transmission service. I've always used the perscribed ATF in the '87's auto tranny. You reckon there's any benifit to swapping to Mobil 1 ATF? Or, is this another instance of "Honda Only" fluids? I've swapped to M1 ATF in my old Mercedes and it is great.
Thanks azbob '87 Legend 194K Bone Stock, yo. |

It has always been recommended on these forums to use Honda ATF. I recently swapped my ATF a couple months ago, and I just went to the dealership to get some. you should just go to your honda dearlership nearby and pick up a couple bottles. Do a search on here, you'll find a lot of q & a.

Yeah, I would stick with the OE stuff, unless OE calls for garbage, then I use Mobil 1 Syn ATF.
