New rear control arms/ struts installed

I got new rear control arms, bump stops, struts and an alignment today. Car corners much better now especially with the Eibach springs. My front camber is off .5 degrees.

Nope, I had to have new ones because my old ones were disintegrated (sp).

Is the alignment something you (NEEDED) to do because of the new rear control arms, bump stops and struts? I understand that Eibach springs gave a 1.5 drop and you said you were off .5 degrees. This question is do to my 1.5 drop and my alignment is fine.

Well I had the alignment done because the rear control arms have ball joints and the joints had excessive play. So if the car was aligned with the play then without it wouldn't be aligned. Also it had been a while since it was done and it did correct a slight tilt in the steering wheel. Also I have been told that the Eibachs lower the car 1.2 inches, but I really don't know since the car came with them.

I think I missed your point. The alignment that gets affected from lowering springs is camber, which shouldn't effect steering but affect the angle of the wheel vertically, so that the inner edges get more traction then the rest of the tire. Hope this helps
