o2 sensor replacement / timing belt

hey guys,
ok, so the bosch 11027 o2 sensor fits our cars right?

is that the same as this ebay item:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

its just that there is no honda listed on the car list.
Reason im asking is that im needing to do some enginew work, crank angle sensor replacement, timing belt etc, and i was going to change my o2 sensors aswell, but after going up to the auto store, they called bosch, and the best they could do was $97 AU per oxygen sensor, i think i will buy off american ebay.

For my timing belt replacement, would http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW be sufficient, i mean there is no difference between acura legend USDM engines and my aussie Honda legend, there all the same engine, right?? i just need re-assurance.

thanks a lot guys for any info,

mike.

Just an omission on their part on the listing. I have two 11027s in my G1. They're doing fine.

The TB should be the same. If your G1 has many miles, consider the crank angle sensor as well if you can afford it.

Also new alternator, PS and AC compressor belts.

I do note that I have heard of some C series engines that do not use O2 sensors. Maybe in your market, your motor does not have any. Check first.

yeah, my car does have the o2 sensors, i dont think there faulty, but its just something i wanna replace so i know they are new.

I need to replace the crank angle sensor, as i am getting ECU code 4, and same symptoms as someone else in another thread, that had to have theirs fixed. Mt Mech said something along the lines when he rang honda "if its the sensor in the distributor, u will need to buy it as a whole unit, $600, but if its crank something .......... (cant remember) it will be about $200"

either way i know getting the crank sensor replaced will be expensive.

i will get a price off him when i see him on thursday for the timing belt, and if its pricey, which i believe it will be, i might buy the kit off ebay and convince them that they should send it to me in australia

ps my car has done 185000 kms

crank angle sensor is behind the camshaft sprocket. The TDC sensor is inside the distributor body. Both affect timing and the car will run in limp mode if either fails. Verify the ECU code you are getting. There is one for each

make sure you do the tentioner aswell on the timing belt, if you dont; they can freeze up, and thats a bad thing! they are not meant to go more than 90k like most people think!!!

also, the timing belt is directional. most people dont know this, the belt is actually designed to run one direction, although you can run them backwards they actually last longer if you face them the right way.

the way you can how to put it on, when your looking at the face of the motor (where the t-belt is) face the writing so that you can read it if you look on the timing belt, thats the correct rotation. I learned this from one of my co-workers who went to Honda school and is certified by honda as a factory trained honda technician.

ill buy some O2 sensors from the local auto zone, when i did my O2 sensor replacement, they were like $35 and it was just plug and play. ill let you know, it was really simple, and i think i did a DIY w/o pics, but even still. if you will pay shipping and handling ill run out and get them this saturday and ship them to you, PM me or email me about it : ikeray@excite.com.

Just a side note: if you do buy those items off of eBay, clear it with the seller first that he can ship to Australia (both of them indicate that they only ship to the US).

I live in Australia also. I just had my Crank Cylinder Censor replaced, new water pump, new timing belt replaced for about $1000.00. It was not cheap but I did not like driving around with the engine light on.
By the way I absolutely love your Legend, where abouts in Australia are you?

im from down in geelong. Bellarine peninsula area.

im hating it, i keep seeing more and more legends, im starting not to have a "rare to see" car no more.

i know im looking at a lot of money, but since i wrote my old legend off, and got this one, i have no service history i need to get things done, timing belt, tensioner, all other belts done, crank sensor, and just get my mech to gho over the car and see if he finds anything else.

my car is currently eating through a lot of petrol, its so annoying, but have to deal with it. im taking it to auto elec. on monday to get them to check out the car and just make sure that it is the crank angle sensor that is shot, personally i believe it is the problem, but he wants me to do it just to make sure its the part we need replacing

enough of my life story, im going to my gf's house.

cya's

mick.

i will need to get some photos of my boot to show you'se all, the stereo is all finished, except i dont have the subs yet because stupid ebay people from texas are trying to jib me. they better come soon or im not happy.
