Plans for legend, help please!
Hello my fellow 1st gen legend people!
I've just finished on my 1986 Mr2 project. My mom got a new car and wanted to throw away her 1st gen legend!!!! But i convinced her to give it to me. :p There are a few problems and questions i have. 1990 Acura Legend L 2dr (the car is a automatic) Has the reverse stopped working for anyone else? if so what was the solution. Has anyone done a auto to manual transmission swap on the legend yet? If i wanted to upgrade the engine, what are my options? Does anyone sell internals for the stock legend engine? What about the 2nd genlegend models, has anyone dropped the engine into the 1st gen before? Is there a JDM version engine for the legend? thanks, tony PS. If anyone knows any sites that sells aftermarket 1st gen legend stuff, that would help alot too thanks!.

I am not sure about the reverse thing, but I have done the auto to manual switch and that was not to hard for what it's worth. As for the engine mod there is not very much open market for our cars besides www.paeco.com they do custom parts for our motors. One item that is being debated is the fact that the 91 NSX motor is the same block as our cars, but we are not sure about the transmission working due to the fact that the motor is in the rear of the NSX. If I was you I would do the tranny swap, lower it, and put some wheels on it.

All in all, the Legend is a good car if you're pretty much happy with it close to stock. There aren't a lot of things you can do outside of intake/exhuast. Personally, if the car were free to me, I would rig up a junkyard turbo. May be tedious and involve a lot of fabricating, but it would work.
