Starting trouble
hi all,
I have a '90 Legend L. Four days out of the last five, I've had the following happen in the morning: When I turn the key all I hear is a loud KLICK. The car does not crank. After 3-4 tries (3-4 KLICKS) the car starts fine. The battery doesn't seem to be drained, because the lights, clock, radio, work just fine with the key in the ignition. The starter was replaced 3 years ago. This happens only in the morning, and only started last week. I live in southern cal, so wet/cold weather is not an issue. I am about to take the car to the shop, but would appreciate any comments about what could be the cause of this. Thanks! V. Kelkar |

Well, when mine did the exact same thing, it was the ground wire to the chassis. I put on a new wire (because I could) and tightened the bolt, and it was just fine!
