Question whats the stuff that guarantees you will pass emmsions?

I got an emmisions test for the legend coming up in a few days. What are some things I can do to help pass emmisions?

Isn't there some stuff I can get that will guarantee that it will pass?

Also my engine is pretty loud after it locked up (stupid mechanics)... will that be a problem?

THanks in advance,
Mike

yeah well about 6 months ago I had the motor mounts changed..the mechanic damaged the oil pan which constricted the oil flow into the engine. So now its fixed but loud. Obviously there was some detrimental effects but my new mechanic says the engine is ok....and will just be loud....obviously we have no clue how much longer it will go.

The car will probably pass the emmsions test but I just want to make sure it does on the first time.

Thanks,
Mike
