I like the interior layout and seats. Mine are cloth I prefer them over leather.
I like the cars lower flatter wider stance, cars seem too tall now.
I like the ride particularly cruising on the highway. Seems like it can go forever. Those 2500km trips just make it run smoother.
I like the smooth way the 5 speed shifts.
You also can't complain about the gas mileage for a V6 - its not bad if you don't stomp on the gas all the time, that really helps today. 8L's / 100km's on the highway. That's close to some 4 cylinder cars.

I know some don't agree but I also like how inexpensive this car has been to run to me personally. Like someone else touched on, I don't look at one or two repairs, I look at the whole year or even lifetime of the car. A couple of CV shafts and an alternator every few years and brakes/oil thing regularly doesn't amount to much in the grand scheme of things.

Nice thread and a good way to pay tribute to a nice car.
You got 8L/100km the best i ever got was 10 on only highway driving

I like the fact that my fiancee can drive it and be safe. it's very forgiving of newbie driver mistakes. I like its reliability which in it self is a luxury. I also like how easy it is to work on compared to other cars, things like changing brake components to changing the automatic tranny fluid are all very easy to do.

edit: I also like the ride as well I used to have a jaguar xj6 about two years newer then my legend and the ride on the legend (I thought) was much better.

Spring summer - 8L/100 but when it gets cold (winter) i get the same as you 10L/100. I do over 80 % highway. (I live and work very near highway's) I also noticed certain oils improve my mileage, Castrol GTX being the best and also Shell gas. (the gas truly makes a difference especially in my trans am). It's nice to get 570 to 630 km's on a tank for long trips before having to look for a station.

I do have one negative about the car, the rust points. I'm just trying to fix some up finding more hidden damage. Ouch! I wish I had got it new and I could have done a yearly rust application.

n8s - good point about the windows a lot of people have said that was cool about my car as well. Normally coupe windows are fixed.

Cheers!

The rusted out rear panels the haggard leather seats, the bose system that doesn't work anymore, the oil leaks, the occasional random starting problems, other than that the way it runs and still asks for more when I continuously beat on it and drive it hard like it was new. I could get something newer but what can I say I like the old girl

I know you didn't ask me directly but I'll chime in. It's smooth enough and it's quiet enough and it's powerful enough at certain times, but I personally think the engine is what makes this car such a beast to drive. Around town below 3k RPM, it doesn't seem like much and it isn't fast, but get it on a road with curves or on a freeway on-ramp or something similar where you're shifting the 5-speed (Actually that's my 2nd favorite item, not the brakes!) and keeping those RPM's up where you want them, it is an absolute blast. In fact the powerband kicks in so suddenly that several people have asked me if I have a turbocharger. The sound the engine makes can be surprising and is delicious and just gives enough loudness and vibration to make your heart speed up a little.
I drive a canyon about 3 times a week, sometimes in the GS 6-speed, sometimes in the Audi, but the ol' '87 Acura is the fastest (and nicest sounding) of them all and just seems to ask for a little more punishment, like the engine is depressed unless it's above 4k or so. I love the way the wheels spin just a little bit at those high RPM/high torque areas when I'm pushing through a hard corner. You know that front wheel drive plow feeling, but it's just enough to still be safe and is easy to rein in. It is also the most raw car I have driven; you can feel everything the steering wheel and suspension are doing, it's not overly sound-deadened like the G2 or the A6, and I find myself being more agressive of a driver in it. That's one thing I have to keep in check.

The steering is just phenomenal. There's so much power-assist that I've got in to the terrible habit of steering with only a finger, but at the same time, it's still magnificently communicative. You still feel everything on the road through the wheel...I've driven over pebbles in the road and been able to tell under what wheel and exactly how big they were just from the steering feel. No other car I've driven even comes close.

+1 on the steering. I like that too. The suspension is really smooth. The car really holds the road and is very predictable. Other things I really like:

the seat memory (wish I had this on the other 2 cars!)
good mix of power and fuel economy
there was never a version of the Legend that came with hubcaps and a 4 cylinder
all the electrical stuff works
visibility is exceptional in all directions (especially out the back window)
