from wat i can find from hours on google everything seems to say around 12 psi seems to be a cap for v6s with the open deck system and our motors dont seem to have very thick cylindar walls. When i build the 2.7 i will be chasing a minimum of around 300 hp so wouldnt it be better to get it done while i have the motor apart

Yeah definitely do it while the motor is out if you are willing to spend the money to do it. Not that I am advocating only running 12psi but you can make well over 300hp at 12psi depending on what turbo you choose. A gt42 turbo will get you way way over that at 12psi for example.

I wouldn't worry about fuel economy. Since its a V6 you have more than enough injectors to spread the fuel over so you wont need overly large injectors (bad economy) as compared to a 4 cylinder. If you are getting a tunable ecu you can really lean out the low and no load cells so you are safely using almost no fuel when you are cruising and at idle. That helps the most. Anything up to 264 duration cams will also cause you no trouble with fuel which are pretty big as it is.

I will have to get a quote for the block to weigh it up if it is to expensive i will just have to find the right turbo and keep it to 12 psi most of the time. the whole builtd wont be that cheap but if i weigh it up against buying a supra or something i can spend quiet a bit

Needs a bit of a clean up but apart from a little bit of surface rust it is in really good order. Some idiot pulled the badge off. Iv got nearly all the wiring labled and removed off my motor in the car just got a few hoses left to remove. Should have it out next weekend i think. Holly S... you should see the huge patch of rust on the cowl pannel i found under the black strip its as big as my hand. but best of all is my avatar

Customs here are theives as the charged me a huge inspection fee but they never looked at it cos it is full of both oil and transmission fluid and they didnt find it

really? i have been told i should go 4. 6 is still biger than the original but gotta take into account the vaultage drop. I have also considered running 2 6 guage wires as i already have a spare 1. would it matter being split between 2 cables
