Utilizing the low beam of our extra 2 headlights....

Hi, its strange that all the late model honda/acura cars have 4 headlights but only 2 are utilized by the low beam.

I am thinking of getting some yellow xenon headlights with the dual filaments. And then getting some pigtails and wiring up to a toggle switch.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=200183135568

Like above. Then you can switch them on whenever you want like for fog lights. Or if yellow isnt your taste you can use just normal white ones and have all 4. Or utilize only the middle and instead of running the wire to a switch run it to a hotwire thats always on when the key is turned on like daytime running lights.

Either way I will post up a diy with pictures once i get all the parts together.

I like the ebay kit cause it comes with all the wires fuse and relay so its all seperate. No borrowing power from the other low beams and causing wire melts and such. Plus you can turn them on indipendantly. I live inc alifornia and some cops are dicks so you never know.

I'm pretty sure I already made a DIY for rewiring your fog lamp relay so your main headlights did not have to be on in order to turn the fog lamps on. They can be turned on independantly with the regular switch. Let me know if you wanna see it or any of the pictures.
