are u both stock? when I had a intake and some exhaust work i beat a auto vr6 in my auto legend.at the track of course.

If stock, you should beat him. The VR6's have alot of low end punch, but lack the top end. I'd imagine he may get you off the line, but you should pull hard on it up top, and probably come out with a better 1/4 and trap speed.

i say u could take him definately! cause i tried someone (VR6 auto) in my 250K+ miles type I auto and he took off the line quicker but i was able to catch up...and with a type II (nicer top end) + 6spd - u shud be able to take him...

You'll eat it up! My Type I auto ate one up on Osceola Pkwy a few weeks ago. His was stick. Yeah, it will jump you on the line but don't let that discourage you, you will catch up!
