integra w/ b20 vs. integra type r

my friend just got a brand new (well 4k miles) b20 CRV engine put in his integra. it has like 165hp and 165lbs tq. he raced my friends type r and hung with it the whole way i was like holy ****. i guess because he has so much tq and the integra has like 130lbs.

Did he get just the plain b20, or is it a b20 bottom end, with a b16 head? they make more power then just a b20. Anyway, the point of the story is that I have trouble beleiving that a stock b20 motor pulled on a typeR, if it was the b20/vtec then, its a bit more beleivable....

brand new crv engine less than 2k miles on it, like 170hp and 165lb/tq. just a plain b20, no vtec head or anything.
