i think the type II would win, because of more power. the type II has 230hp and the JDM has 215 or something like that.

I think it'd be a driver issue on this one... similar cars... ya know? I mean, Lee (SleeperLegendcp) could pass me in my 6-speed with hs 5-speed, but I'd eventually reel him in a slowly glide past him... just a difference in drivers/cars on that one...

I beleive the JDM type II would win, becuase in Japan gas has a higher octance, they use 97 or 98 I believe. Well, assuming that both engines use fuel from there respective countries. Also, I believe that HP is measured differently in different countries. They use different vairables and such.

There is no Type II in Japan. They have only one engine that sort of falls between a Type I and a Type II. You can get 97 octane from Sunoco here in the States.
