legend vs. mustang gt(87-91)

How would my 91 legend ls auto 4 door do against an 87-91 mustang gt with an auto or a 5-speed? I think the mustang in that era had something like 215 hp, but most of the stock ones probably have pretty tired engines due to people rotting them on the streets.

My opinion:
legend ls 4 door auto vs. mustang auto-------all legend

legend ls 4 door auto vs. mustang 5-speed-------too damn close to call

What do you guys think?

Those 5.0s are mean man..... I have never been close to one.... buts it is hard to tell which ones are stock because they are very tuneable.

The 5.0 will take you off the line in my opinion, A LOT more torque. your chances lie beyond 60mph I think. Then it's catch up and & pass.

When my dad first got his 91 Auto he raced a 90/91 Mustang GT from 40mph up to well over 100 and said he pulled on him the whole way.

I raced an 87' 5 liter from 25-90 and was dead even until 60 (when I started pulling away) and he at least had an exhaust system done. Off the line they'll rape you. I was messing around with a cobra of one of those years and got killed from the same speed.

I ran across a '96 stang gt with a 5-spd just last night. We went from 50-110 and 20-110. He pulled on me on the 50 run. On the 20 I was up with him and hit the revlimiter trying to close my window. I stayed with him, but he got me. It's a fun run!
Later!

Slow 5.0
Those are slow... For what they are, but a good run for a legend.
5-Speed 5.0 runs 15.2's
Auto should run 15.6's

If its Auto its gonna be a good run

Wow it almost slipped my mind...
If its a MUSTANG LX, with the 5.0 H.O. then you have a quick beast. 14.8 with the auto's and 14.6's with the 5-Speeds

Also all those times are AVG. The notch-back's are quicker than hatch-backs.

Good LUCK

camaros will destroy us in a race. They usually are about a second quicker in the 1/4 than the Mustangs. A friend has a 98 z28 with 285hp and over 300 torque... needless to say its not even funny.

those 5.0's r quick. people buy them and run them stock and modded because they are stocked with a 302 or 305. the reason they are quick is because they r light.

botom line is i dont think the legend stands a chance.

i'm trying to buy one this spring.
