Took the Type I autotragic 92 LS coupe to the track a couple weeks ago.
Mods: weapon R, stromung, chip, 18" chrome ice metal 888s (heavy). Had a 2/3 full tank of 87 octane (yuck). Was about 90 degrees, hot and humid. Roughly: Best ET: 15.8 Best MPH: 88.89mph Best 60': 2.49 Torque braking did not help to decrease times, neither did manual shifting. Only shift worth making for me manually was from 1, to D3 at 6600rpm. This was pretty disappointing. Auto's suck and Legends are fat and slow lol.

ok... i went to the track sometime before the summer started. i was completely happy with the time i got with my stock 5spd. i was surprise that i can ride a 15.3 with my stock 4 door. i want my 14s in the quarter. any idea on how i can get it with a shortage of money. i have about 100-500 to spend so i can get the 14s.

Went to the track for the first time tonight. I've never raced before so i was experimenting with launching the car. Keep in mind that the track is at about 6,000 ft above sea level.

Kinda not too good especially with a type 2. There's hope for you though as it seems that you are not getting a good launch judging by your 60ft.
